WightO has
been active since April 1976.
We organise orienteering events on the Isle of Wight, UK. That's the diamond shaped island half way along the south coast of the England. We may be one of the smallest clubs in the UK but we manage to put on colour coded events for ten months of the year and other events such as quiz walks, and night orienteering events.

What is Orienteering?
Orienteering is a sport in which competitors navigate against the clock on foot using a map and compass over a course marked by control points. It is a physical, individual participation sport.
Orienteering can be enjoyed by young and old alike, you can go at your own pace and you don't have to beat anyone as you run against the clock.
Orienteering is mentally as well as physically challenging and takes place in some beautiful, dramatic and fascinating locations. This web site will take you to some of them.
