Luminate Part Two: Painful
by Cloverwolfess

Luminate knew she was an outcast by now. She had killed two dogs in Nome, and now the whole dog population of Nome were after her blood. Shebared her teeth angrily. Who needed them? Who needed anyone? Not her. Shedidnt need Balto, Jenna, her family, or anyone. She walked further into thewoods, not sure of what to do.

Suddenly she was aware of a hissing and slithering noise. Not sure whatit was, she looked about. Not looking where she was going, she stepped on asnake! It struck swiftly, sinking its posioness fangs into the right side ofher. She howled and scratched at it madly until it was dead.

The posion was taking effect. Dragging herself weakly into a hollowtree, she lay there. Then her world went black as she passed out. She awokewith a searing pain on the right side of her face, and she was very weak. She had taking healing lessons from somewhere, so she gathered herbs weregrowing from the snow around and inside the tree.

For months she kept herself alive with the herbs, and also one othersource: her hatefulness of the dogs of Nome. She wanted her revenge.

A Year Later....

Luminate had just finished her meal. The sleek half breed had grownconsiderably, training in strength and so forth for a full year now. Hermuscles bulged from her white coat, but she was not all the same. A yearago, a snake had bit her on the right side of her face. She lived, despitethe posion, but she was forced to wear a gold silken skullmask to hide theugliness.

She had gained herself a small territory. Here, she planned to starther own pack until she had a pack large enough to kill all the dogs in Nome. She didnt care what happened to them, as long as she got her revenge.
