Balto - Returning again from the previous movie, Balto is now
the father of six puppies, one of which looks more like a wolf than he does. Reaccuring dreams of a new quest
haunt our favorite wolfdog, making him follow his daughter into the unknown. |
Jenna- The mother of Aleu and her five brothers/sisters.
Although we don't get to see her quite as much in the sequel, it is obvious that she fufills the role of a
caring mother very well. However, in Wolf Quest, the attacking-grizzly side of Jenna seems to have been lost. |
Boris- We don't see him quite as much in the sequel (thankfully), but
he is still somewhat of a guide for Balto and his good friend. |
Muk and Luk- The two annoying polar bear cubs are back! They
don't seem to really have a place in the sequel and they haven't grown up a bit, but they really don't add too
much to the story. |
Aleu- Balto's headstrong and sturbborn daughter. Not
adopted by a human, Aleu is forced to live with Balto on his boat. Finding out that the reason she wasn't
adopted was because she is half wolf, Aleu runs away to find out who she really is and eventually takes her place
as the leader of the wolf pack. |
The Raven- The Raven always appears in Balto's dream, and
also acts as somewhat as a guide as Balto searches for his daughter.
The Fox- The cunning trickster. Tricking Balto into letting her go,
she pushes Balto off the log and into the water, where he catches the scent of his daughter and is able
to continue on his journey.
Muru- Aleu's spirit guide. He sings songs to her to try and get her
to figure out who she really is, and that the fact that she is prat wolf doesn't really matter.
Niju- Although he appears to be the bad guy of the story,
all Niju is afraid of is change, and he'll do anything to prevent that, even stealing from other wolf packs
to get food. He doesn't want to let the other wolves cross the great water because of the change it will cause.
Sumac, Nuk, and Yak- The three henchwolves of Niju. They follow him and
do whatever he wants until they defy him by following Balto/Aleu across the great water.
Nava- The wise old leader of the wolf pack, he teachers Aleu about how they
are all part of a "Grand Design". He is too weak to cross the great water, so when Aleu volunteers to lead them, Balto and Nava
return to land and Nava goes to look for Niju.
Aniu- The white wolf (not the same one as in the original). She leads Balto with dreams
and clues to find his daughter and for him to remember his past. In the end, Aniu reveals that Balto is her son.
