The Lion King is an excellent movie. However, Disney's interaction with McDonalds is not acceptable. If Disney really cares about children (I think they care more about how much money they can make)why would they invest in a fast food restraunt that is causing an incredibly high rate (in children and adults) of being overweight in my country and in yours. McDonalds also is cruel to animals and cuts down the rainforests.Disney also gives the perception to children that your life will always work out how you want it to and you will always get your Prince Charming (Cinderella, Snow White and Beauty and the Beast).

I love the Lion King! I just wish that Disney would make t-shirts and other merchandise for adults with Lion King logo. All the Disney stores and magazines that I have seen have any other Disney character on it except for Simba, Nala, Mufasa, Rafiki, Timon and Pumbaa. And if they do, it only in children sizes. I am 17 and would like some Lion King shirts for me. Does any one agree with me?

Since 1994 release of "The Lion King", (yay! w/ closed captioned codes) I was used to watch it. I owned one closed-captioned videotape of "The Lion King" since late 1995. (If you are deaf or hearing-impaired, please use your own closed captioned decoder to `reveal' the closed-captioned codes.)

In 1996, I bought two books on TLK, one in English and one in Spanish. I will keep them until my baby nephews are grown to around 4.5 to 6 year old to attend kindergarten-level school.

With the sign language-fluent human presence being there, I can translate some foreign and Swahili words and phrases into English via ASL.

"Hakuna Matata (Swahili for "No Worry") about me and my baby nephews!"
