Well... I guess I could give y'all my personal TLK testimonials, but I'd be here all day, and you'd all think I want some kind of derranged lunatic. My devotion to Disney began with The Disney Afternoon. I never really thought much about their animated features. In 1988 I saw Oliver & Company, and I loved that movie, but it was forgotten for a whole seven years after it's initial release, In 1992-93 I began to take the mentality that I was "all-grown-up" and that Disney animation was too childish for me. I actually refused to go see TLK when the rest of the family, dissmissing it as just a kids cartoon... A mistake I hadn't realized at the time, later that month abck in '94 everyone was just raving about TLK, so... I finally drug myself out to the theater to watch it. TLK changed my life, I am now the biggest TLK-addict I know, and I'm the biggest Disney-addict in general that I could possibly be. Now, I never fail to see a new Disney animated feature, although I have yet to see a more recent one that is anywhere near as great as TLK, and 30 percent of my music collection... about 160 CDs are all Disney soundtracks, or spin-off albums of some type. TLK is one of the greatest works of art Disney has brought us, and it's creators put a lot of heart into it's making.I'm glad to see that Brian Tiemann has created such a wonderful tribute page for such a wonderful movie. -Goldenrod J. The Lion King is the greatest, the most touching animated film ever! Me and my 4 years old brother have watched it maybe 200 times. we know every single word, every song. I've seen it in polish and in english. i also have the lion king 2 - Simba's Pride, which is almost as good as the first one and includes 5 wunderful songs. we also have a polish and english version. I'm 14 years old byt i still love my lion king!
