MY COUSIN IN FLORIDA WROTE HIS OWN SEQUEL TO THE LION KING (SORRY I'M NOT GRAMMATICALY CORRECT, IT'S 5 IN THE MORNING). HE'S ONLY TEN THOUGH, SO THE PLOT IS KIND OF GOOFY. THE STORY STARTS OFF AT THE END OF THE PREQUEL WHEN SIMBA'S SON IS BEING INTRODUCED. HE CONVEINEINTLY NAMED THE CUB KAMBU (CAME-BOO) AFTER THE STREET HE LIVED ON. THE STORY MAINLY SURROUNDS TIMON WHO FINDS HIMSELF ALONE AFTER PUMBAA DECIES TO HANG WITH HIS HERD FOR A WHILE. IT'S KIND OF SAD BECAUSE HE EXPLAINS WHY TIMON IS CONSIDERED AN OUTCAST. TIMON FINDS A BEAUTIFUL FEMALE MEERKAT NAMED CAJI (KAY-J-E) WHO HE FALLS HOPELESSLY IN LOVE WITH (EVEN THOUGH HE DOESN'T WANT TO). LITTLE DOES HE KNOW THAT SHE IS WORKING FOR THE EVIL GUY, VARGAS (PRONOUNCED LIKE IT SOUNDS) WHO IS TYING TO GET A SECRET FROM TIMON. WHAT IT IS- I DON'T KNOW, THAT'S ALL HE TOLD ME. MY COUSIN WANTS TO SEE IF ITS OF ANY INTEREST TO ANY ONE BESIDES OUR GRANDMA, SO IF YOU WANT AN ILLISTRATED COPY FOR FUN, E-MAIL ME AND I'LL HAVE HIM SEND YOU ONE (SINCE HE'S GOT TO PAY POSTAGE HA HA) HE REALLY WANTS TO SEND A SCREEN PLAY TO DISENY, BUT COULD CARE LESS. THE WAY DISNEY HAS BEEN GOING LATELY, I DOUBT ANY SEQUEL TO THE LION KING WOULD BE ANY GOOD.
LOVE AND KISSES-

Hi Brian, it`s me again. Here is some new questions and (gasp!) critics.

-are the CAV discs (specifically TLK CAV-CD) in a TV (you need a player,
something like a VCR) format or in computer format (CD-ROM cind of thing)?

Maintainer's note: CAV laserdiscs are one of two standard formats for
laserdiscs (the other is CLV). To play it, you need a CAV laserdisc
player. It's not intended for interface with a computer any more than a
VCR is.

-do you have a MUCK character?

On TLKMuck, I was Simba for the first year of the muck's existence,
and I built a large part of the original structure. I left the muck last
summer, though.

-are TLK model drawings merchendise you can buy or did someone get REALLY
lucky finding and buying them?

They were contributed by Myra Weber, who studied animation at a
Disney-affiliated arts academy.

-I found this great page via TLKWR. I don`t know if you already have it among your links (I forgot to look and I don`t have the will power (boo, boo =) to type in this letter again) but it is really worth checking out (very high quality images). It is at HTTP://www.concentrict.net/~pretoris/ (though I did find your name
mentioned on it so you probably know about it)

Yes, I have a link to it both in the "Other Pages" section and in the
Image Archive.

-what EXACTLY is The Lion King (web?) Ring? (the info connection on it
was loading for 10 minutes and I gave up)

It's a linked ring of websites; look at www.webring.org if you're
unfamiliar with the idea. The reason why the banner doesn't load on most
pages is that it is served off a machine which is currently off the
net.

-in your version of the script (great piece of work) I found a few things
which could be changed (discovered by watching TLK three times after
reading it and blind luck :)

- you missed out the translation of Zazu`s name (maybe it`s
really a name, but it still means something)=stupid/foolish

How do you know this? Can you quote a source? What language?

- when Rafiki hits Simba with his stick I think he says Jesus
(though again I can`t be sure)

He says "Geez", a common innocuous abbreviation of the name. -BT

(E-main address on other letters- I keep forgeting it =)

Thanks again for your time, by!

Hi. no small talk this time since I`m right in the middle of writing my own fan-fiction story (wild cheers =).

-where can you get the CAV CDs for The Lion King (I found their picture
and description on a fan`s homepage)

Maintainer's note: The CAV laserdisc boxed set is available in the US
at most record and video stores-- I've seen it at almost every Tower
Records I've been to, as well as the Wherehouse and Suncoast Video. I
don't know about international availability.

-if you have read The Tales of Tanabi and Redemptation --> is there a story that happenes after TToT and before Redemptation? (in Redemptation it was mentioned, that Simba killed Kisasian defending Tanabi, but I do not remember that part (though I could have just forgotten it- I have read about 30 ff stories by now))

-oh yeah, I finally read Chronicles of the Pride Lands... ... what else can I say but WOW!!! If you ( meant as everybody that reads this ) have read it, I don`t need to tell you and if you did not read it THAN WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR! Get and read it now. You can download it ( multiple stories ) from a page
link on this site (I forgot which one so BT help me out).

It's the Text Files Archive.

-and another question for BT- are you still answering the questions in
the guest book (haven`t seen a note in almost a week)

Yes, I answer every question that I can answer. Some I can't. -BT

Thanks again to J. Falk for his rumour. Simba will probably die (a big part of the first movie IS The Circle of Life), but I too doubt the part about Egypt- even if they do use it, it`s going to be quite hard for them to do it with realism, not to mention avoiding human contact (if they put humans in the sequel, I`M going to their ass !!). About the actor E-mails - I haven`t found any yet but I`m looking.Oh yeah, a note to BT- I think it would be very helpfull if you put a What`s new (or something) item in the main ¨links¨ (don`t know what to call them) part (Copyright, Image Archive, ...). I visit your site quite often (as seen by my letters) and it takes up quite some time to search the entire site (though i`m not saying it`s not fun =).Maintainer's note: Notable changes are always logged in the Revision Log. Hello again:-first I`d like to thank Mr (probably) J.Falk for the E-mail about TLK2 cast (Jennifer Lien , wow). I bow to you (½We`re not worthy, we`re not worthy½ =).-to BT (about the Live chat time)- I know it`s open all the time, but what is the suggested time in E Europe time (I don`t want to be rude, so don`t take this in the wrong way) ?Maintainer's note: I don't have any "suggested time" other than the one that's posted. I really doubt anybody uses the chat at all. I'll probably just take down that time notice, since it seems to be confusing people and doing more harm than good.-third, what does ix-nay on the oopid-stay mean (I ain`t American (duh) so I`m not very good at lingo (I think it`s called that) expressions- I do understand them in my language though)It's "Pig-Latin", a sort of schoolyard novelty "language" that involves moving the front part of a word (up to the first vowel) to the end of the word, and then adding "ay" to the end. So my name would come out to "Ian-bray Iemann-tay". It's often used as a sort of simple "code" in slang, which is why Zazu used it in order to get Simba to shut up ("Nix on the 'stupid'") without drawing the hyenas' attention. It didn't quite work... :) -BTTkanks again BT for this great page: Simon

Very Mad

I was cruising the Blockbuster video store and I was looking at the Disney stand when I noticed a CD at the bottem called Once apon a Chipmunk. They had all the Disney songs sung by the Chipmunks and not any of them were allowed by Disney. At the bottem it said, not sponsered or endorsed by the Walt Disney company, so it was all ILLEGAL! ALso they had Hakuna Matata so I was pretty mad cause they ruined a beautiful song from the Lion King.

I`ve just seen the movie Rainman and the song at the end started EXECTLY
like a part of the song This Land(could be Under the Stars- I`m never
sure). The only difference was 1 tone (it`s the same for about 10-15
secs). This seemed strange to me, so I watched the credit sequence (which
also played this song) and guess what- the music producer (or whatever)
was JAY RIFKIN. Now tell me that is coincidence!

Maintainer's note: Not at all. The score to Rain Man was done by Hans
Zimmer (Jay Rifkin is a producer on his team). See the Hans Zimmer
Worship Page
for more. -BT

I have a message for Mr. Isackovich. You know when you signed the guestbook you wanted to know who will be doing the voices for Simba's Pride? Send me an e-mail message and I'll tell you who'll be doing the voices. I know the names of fourteen cast members that will be in it most of which are the original cast members returning from the original Lion King.

I don`t have a lot of time right now so I`ll be short:-if this site is optimised for Netscape, then why doesn`t the picture of the Priderock appear when I use it (on the other hand my brother uses Explorer and on his computer it does!)Maintainer's note: Because that's a table background image... it's supported in Netscape 4.0 and Internet Explorer 4.0. Your brother is apparently using MSIE 4.0, but you're still on Netscape 3.0.-what is the Live chat time in E Europe time (I get on at around 21/22 and there is nobody there)As I've said before, there isn't any set "time" for the chat to be "open". I only posted a time in an attempt to get people to show up at some kind of common time of day. I have no idea whether anybody is there at that time, or if anybody uses the chat at all.-do you have any scans from TAoTLK?I don't, but my link to Ryan McGinnis' page (in the Image Archive) will take you to a lot of them. -BTWell, see (hear, read) you later (in the eveing).

Whoever posted in the rumor mill under "A very big TLK fan", the one who went to MGM Studios, please e-mail me the info you have as it relates to an exact release date as soon as possible. Also, it would help if you included the info on what you saw as it relates to the apparent Simba's Pride preview.

-first about The Art of The Lion King: I discovered (on other sites) that there are more than one- by last count three: two versions (VOL1 and VOL2?) and a special edition (I think I found this mentioned on your site somewhere)
If I an wrong, please explain the VOL1 subtitle on the book (are the
others included in it?!?)

Maintainer's Note: Well, I only know of one edition... I'd welcome any
information anybody else could give me. I've heard of a smaller version
than the standard-sized one, but the only one I know of for sure is the
coffee-table-sized, $50 edition mentioned in the FAQ.

-in which language is the foreign CD with the song Hyenas on it (which is
actually a combined song from the elephant graveyard and the exile scene-
I saw the movie again yesterday (rules) and I noticed (rather late) that
most of the instrumental songs on it are actually combined songs in the
movie (I think the song Under The Stars is repeated three times, but does
not end the same (now I know why I have so much trouble playing it in my
head (hey, everyone does it!)))

The "Hyenas" track is included in most non-English versions of the
soundtrack; I know it's on the Spanish, French, Dutch, German, and
several other versions.

-what are the proportions of the screen in the full TCoL qmovie (I know
it`s a long scene, but not THAT long!)

It's 320x180, letterbox aspect ratio. It's 49MB in size; if you
really want to download it, it's at http://new.lionking.org/movies/CircleOfLife-Big.mov.

-how does everybody know the name of Simba`s and Nala`s cub (I doubt it is
in the credit sequence) and what is it`s real name (Chaka, Tanabi, ...).
By the stuff I read it was only mentioned as Fluffy (in TAoTLK).

The information is from various studio leaks and promotional material
heard at conferences and presentations over the past two years. See the
FAQ for details.

-is TRoTP (is that one word or two?) worth buying? I would buy it anyway
but I`m really having trouble finding it (hey, this ain`t America)

Well, listen to the MPEG-3 recordings of the tracks and see for
yourself whether you'd want to buy it. There's a link to Music Boulevard
from both the MPEG-3 page and the Lyrics Archive to buy it online no
matter where you are.

-have you got a qmovie of the ½boiler½scene (love it)

If I did, it would be in the Movies archive... I'll add that one next
if/when I expand that page.

-why were some of the hyena shouts cut from the CD`s version of Be
Prepared (½Long live the king½)

Huh? I don't think there was anything cut from the CD in that
segment...

-does anyone know (I`m REALLY starting to repeat myself) if Disney ever
mentioned who Nala`s father is (or if it cleared in TLK")?

We still don't know. Maybe we'll find out in the sequel.

-is Tim Allen (or however you spell it) from the TLK credit sequence
(something about Simba`s animation) the one from Home Improvement?

I doubt it...

-what IS the shortest time allowed for the same person to write
him/herself in and not being rejected?

It's if your name appears in the first 100 lines of HTML, which
translates to about the first entry in the list (the HTML header takes up
about 75 lines).

-could the guy with unlimited access to Disney get some MORE information on TLK2 (not just the things that are written everywhere)

-who is doing the music for TLK2 and are there going to be any
repeats(songs from TLK)

No word on that either... the Rumor Mill says something about the
songs and their writer, I believe.

-who is doing the voices for the sequel (especially the cub`s)

Again, see the Rumor Mill. We don't know anything more than what's
posted there.

-who (and when) starten the rumour about TLK2 and is he/she listed on
this site?

It's been widely known that there would be a TLK sequel back as far as
late 1994. Disney has been in production with it since about then-- it's
no rumor. -BT

Thank you again (plus could you PLEASE correct any spelling problems from this letter and the other ones- two in the Guest book and one (from today) in the rumour mill Thank you)
