Hello again:-first I`d like to thank Mr (probably) J.Falk for the E-mail about TLK2 cast (Jennifer Lien , wow). I bow to you (½We`re not worthy, we`re not worthy½ =).-to BT (about the Live chat time)- I know it`s open all the time, but what is the suggested time in E Europe time (I don`t want to be rude, so don`t take this in the wrong way) ?Maintainer's note: I don't have any "suggested time" other than the one that's posted. I really doubt anybody uses the chat at all. I'll probably just take down that time notice, since it seems to be confusing people and doing more harm than good.-third, what does ix-nay on the oopid-stay mean (I ain`t American (duh) so I`m not very good at lingo (I think it`s called that) expressions- I do understand them in my language though)It's "Pig-Latin", a sort of schoolyard novelty "language" that involves moving the front part of a word (up to the first vowel) to the end of the word, and then adding "ay" to the end. So my name would come out to "Ian-bray Iemann-tay". It's often used as a sort of simple "code" in slang, which is why Zazu used it in order to get Simba to shut up ("Nix on the 'stupid'") without drawing the hyenas' attention. It didn't quite work... :) -BTTkanks again BT for this great page: Simon

Very Mad
I was cruising the Blockbuster video store and I was looking at the Disney stand when I noticed a CD at the bottem called Once apon a Chipmunk. They had all the Disney songs sung by the Chipmunks and not any of them were allowed by Disney. At the bottem it said, not sponsered or endorsed by the Walt Disney company, so it was all ILLEGAL! ALso they had Hakuna Matata so I was pretty mad cause they ruined a beautiful song from the Lion King.

I`ve just seen the movie Rainman and the song at the end started EXECTLY like a part of the song This Land(could be Under the Stars- I`m never sure). The only difference was 1 tone (it`s the same for about 10-15 secs). This seemed strange to me, so I watched the credit sequence (which also played this song) and guess what- the music producer (or whatever) was JAY RIFKIN. Now tell me that is coincidence!
Maintainer's note: Not at all. The score to Rain Man was done by Hans Zimmer (Jay Rifkin is a producer on his team). See the Hans Zimmer Worship Page for more. -BT

Send me an e-mail message and I'll tell you who'll be doing the voices. I don`t have a lot of time right now so I`ll be short:-if this site is optimised for Netscape, then why doesn`t the picture of the Priderock appear when I use it (on the other hand my brother uses Explorer and on his computer it does!)Maintainer's note: Because that's a table background image... it's supported in Netscape 4.0 and Internet Explorer 4.0. Your brother is apparently using MSIE 4.0, but you're still on Netscape 3.0.-what is the Live chat time in E Europe time (I get on at around 21/22 and there is nobody there)As I've said before, there isn't any set "time" for the chat to be "open". I only posted a time in an attempt to get people to show up at some kind of common time of day. I have no idea whether anybody is there at that time, or if anybody uses the chat at all.-do you have any scans from TAoTLK?I don't, but my link to Ryan McGinnis' page (in the Image Archive) will take you to a lot of them. -BTWell, see (hear, read) you later (in the eveing).

-first about The Art of The Lion King: I discovered (on other sites) that there are more than one- by last count three: two versions (VOL1 and VOL2?) and a special edition (I think I found this mentioned on your site somewhere) If I an wrong, please explain the VOL1 subtitle on the book (are the others included in it?!?)
Maintainer's Note: Well, I only know of one edition... I'd welcome any information anybody else could give me. I've heard of a smaller version than the standard-sized one, but the only one I know of for sure is the coffee-table-sized, $50 edition mentioned in the FAQ.
-in which language is the foreign CD with the song Hyenas on it (which is actually a combined song from the elephant graveyard and the exile scene- I saw the movie again yesterday (rules) and I noticed (rather late) that most of the instrumental songs on it are actually combined songs in the movie (I think the song Under The Stars is repeated three times, but does not end the same (now I know why I have so much trouble playing it in my head (hey, everyone does it!)))
The "Hyenas" track is included in most non-English versions of the soundtrack; I know it's on the Spanish, French, Dutch, German, and several other versions.
-what are the proportions of the screen in the full TCoL qmovie (I know it`s a long scene, but not THAT long!)
-how does everybody know the name of Simba`s and Nala`s cub (I doubt it is in the credit sequence) and what is it`s real name (Chaka, Tanabi, ...). By the stuff I read it was only mentioned as Fluffy (in TAoTLK).
The information is from various studio leaks and promotional material heard at conferences and presentations over the past two years. See the FAQ for details.
-is TRoTP (is that one word or two?) worth buying? I would buy it anyway but I`m really having trouble finding it (hey, this ain`t America)
Well, listen to the MPEG-3 recordings of the tracks and see for yourself whether you'd want to buy it. There's a link to Music Boulevard from both the MPEG-3 page and the Lyrics Archive to buy it online no matter where you are.
-have you got a qmovie of the ½boiler½scene (love it)
If I did, it would be in the Movies archive... I'll add that one next if/when I expand that page.
-why were some of the hyena shouts cut from the CD`s version of Be Prepared (½Long live the king½)
Huh? I don't think there was anything cut from the CD in that segment...
-does anyone know (I`m REALLY starting to repeat myself) if Disney ever mentioned who Nala`s father is (or if it cleared in TLK")?
We still don't know. Maybe we'll find out in the sequel.
-is Tim Allen (or however you spell it) from the TLK credit sequence (something about Simba`s animation) the one from Home Improvement?
I doubt it...
-what IS the shortest time allowed for the same person to write him/herself in and not being rejected?
It's if your name appears in the first 100 lines of HTML, which translates to about the first entry in the list (the HTML header takes up about 75 lines).
-could the guy with unlimited access to Disney get some MORE information on TLK2 (not just the things that are written everywhere)
-who is doing the music for TLK2 and are there going to be any repeats(songs from TLK)
No word on that either... the Rumor Mill says something about the songs and their writer, I believe.
-who is doing the voices for the sequel (especially the cub`s)
Again, see the Rumor Mill. We don't know anything more than what's posted there.
-who (and when) starten the rumour about TLK2 and is he/she listed on this site?
It's been widely known that there would be a TLK sequel back as far as late 1994. Disney has been in production with it since about then-- it's no rumor. -BT
Thank you again (plus could you PLEASE correct any spelling problems from this letter and the other ones- two in the Guest book and one (from today) in the rumour mill Thank you)

Hi everyone, I am an OBSESSIVE fan of The Lion King. I saw it on opening night and since i have seen it well over 100 times and know every line every word every lyric like I know the back of my hand in the black of night. This movie has brought SO MUCH joy and laughter to my life and has been an escape and the light at the end of the tunnel for me. And I STILL cry like a baby every time the great Mufasa dies. Everywhere I go weather it be work, home, shopping or anywhere, I am called by friends, and strangers "Simba" or "The Lion King Guy" or "The Lion King KING" or "Mr. Lion King". Family and friends say it is incredible how alike Simba and I are. I would say it is an AMAZING biography of my own life, give or take a few things. I have invested and spent HUNDREADS and HUNDREADS of THOUSANDS and THOUSANDS and THOUSAND of dollars on my HUGE< GIANT GARGANTUAN collection that I am fircley protective of and NOBODY touches but me!! I can't even tell you how many times people come to me and say "You even look like Simba!!!" I have had people ask me if I worked on the movie, and that I sound like Matthew Brodrick somewhat. I hope to meet other crazed fans such as myself, to talk to and to trade stuff with as well and to make new friends, E-mail me and I'll write back HAKUNA MATATA!!!!!

Sorry for doing this again but I knew I forgot some of the questions from the "deleted" letter:-where did some of the sounds from the Simba and Nala Win95 theme come from (Simba`s "Ahh, hyenas", Nala`s "You`re much better at this than Simba (Simba:) Hey!", and so on)Maintainer's note: I have no idea-- only the person who created the theme would know that. I think it was Myra Weber (simba@myself.com).-is it just my imagination or was the song To die for... on the soundtrack a little shorter than the one in the movie (a part of it repeats itself- just a matter of seconds but you can still hear it). I know it`s a small thing, I just want to know if I am right or my memory is playing tricks on me =)No, you're right... the score in the movie at times had to loop the music a little to fit it properly with the scene cues. :)-could you please put a full quality Hyenas (song) on the site. I have The Lion King soundtrack and it isn`t on it,so you wouldn`t be harming anybody, you would just be helping the ones with the "not full" CDs to get it (I did pay for it)Um, I do have a full-quality copy of the Hyenas track on the site. It's at 44kHz, 144KB/sec stereo.-do you have a quick time movie of any song (from the movie) which is complete (the full song is in it). It would be very large (10-15MB) but it would be worth it.Well, I do in fact have a QuickTime of the full "Circle of Life" song... it's 50MB. I didn't think anyone would want to try to download that...-here is a solution for the repeating "Sign book" hitting button- make the site delete the things you put in (you could still do it if you really wanted to, but so can you now)If you'd like a detailed explanation of how my guestbook script works and why I've set it up the way I have, please e-mail me privately... I'll be glad to explain. :) -BT-I read J Sherman`s critic on TLK. The names are really way off (Lala and Semba?!? Well I guess Shenzi would become Chang Z and Pumbaa... That I don`t even want to think about), but the critic is quite niceWell, asante sana for the site and by =)

It`s me again (the third time- I wrote a really good and really long comment and all I got was "Sorry, you can not sign in right away again"- it took me 20 minutes to write that!!!)Maintainer's note: Sorry about that... I had to put that feature in to keep people from hitting "Submit" and signing the book over and over again.OK, here it goes again:-what are the full titles of The art of (the?) Lion king books? That's the title: The Art of The Lion King. It's a single book.-how much do they costUsually about $50 US.-can you order them by internet ( +how much do they cost)?Maybe, but I doubt it... they're rather limited in quantity. Try www.amazon.com... maybe they'll have it.-do you have any REALLY large and very HI color TLK pictures? No, but I can scan some if you need them... and most of the images in the archive are in 24-bit color. The images are in a reasonable size for downloading and for use offline, and most really big images are poor quality.-do you have any TLK2- Simba`s pride pictures (or any proof that it isn`t just a false dream)?Nope, not yet.-have you also got normal sized pictures of the icons you use ( like the TLK Live talk icon)?Yes-- all those images are taken from the main Image Archive.-why is Live chat only open in the evening (I know, I know, the price is lower, everybody has more time... , but it could still be open all day)It's "open" all the time... I only posted a time on that page in an effort to try to get people to show up all at once. You can use it any time you want-- it's just that there's never anybody in there. :P-is there any way to communicate with you while you are logged in ( from my point of view all the time )?Sure-- just e-mail me. :)-what song is the MP3 file Hyenas ( I know it`s from a foreign CD, but what song was it originally)? It's the score segment starting right after Scar tells the Hyenas to "Kill him." It continues through the hyena chase until Simba escapes across the desert.-is there a CD with all fo The lion king`s songs (the instrumentals that were not on the sountrack CD or TROTPL CD)?Oh, I wish... Hans Zimmer's studio has told me it's unlikely that they will produce such a CD, though. Too bad...Thank you for this great site and don`t dare to take it off :)Thanks! I plan to keep this site around for a long time. :) -BT

In the Boise Town Square mall, in Boise, Idaho, there is a small shop set up called [the] "Hakuna Matata Village". (I swear!!) I think that they were able to get by Disney copyright restrictions because I do not think that "hakuna matata" is copyrighted. Anyway, this is a shop that basically sells wooden carvings of animals in various sizes. They have been open for a while, and I would like to send in pictures of this business to the maintainer of this website, so that all may see it. This is proof that The Lion King still has a large impact on people, and it lives on...in one form or another! :) Maintainer's note: Well, "Hakuna matata" is a common Swahili phrase... it existed long before TLK did. It's been used in movies in the past, too, as I recall. But thanks for the info... :) -BT

Hello! I love TLK! I've got the dialogue memorized by heart, and my favorite male character is cub Simba. My favorite female character is Sarafina, Nala's mother. I also like Shenzi and Kissasian. Kissasian is the son of Scar in TLK Fan Fiction online. Tiffany

THIS FILM IS THE MOST WONDERFUL THAT I SAW IN MY LIFE. CONGRATULATIONS.
"I want to be a lion, [aay], everybody want to pass as cats, we all want to be big, big, stars yeah, but, we got different reasons for that" (Counting Crows, Mister Jones track) Also, have you ever noticed how in The Lion King, Simba sings the lyrics of "I just can't wait to be king" as:"standin' spotlight". In the booklet that comes with The Lion King soundtrack it says: "standing in the spotlight". Maintainer's note: Well, no... it sounds to me like he's singing "Standin' in the spotlight", just as it's written. He sings it a little fast, but those are his words. -BT

I hereby apologize for what I just put on this Guest Book. What I said was not without merit, but it was uncalled for, unnecessary, and probably not an issue to most people who visit this site. I would not think any less of the maintainer of this site for doing whatever he feels is appropriate in respect to this issue. I hope that I can be forgiven by whomever reads this for making a bigger issue out of this than necessary.Maintainer's note: Don't worry about it... c'mon, I'm sure we can all get on with our lives. :) -BTLet me be the first to say that: I was wrong, and I am sorry.
