Hi everyone, I am an OBSESSIVE fan of The Lion King. I saw it on opening night and since i have seen it well over 100 times and know every line every word every lyric like I know the back of my hand in the black of night. This movie has brought SO MUCH joy and laughter to my life and has been an escape and the light at the end of the tunnel for me. And I STILL cry like a baby every time the great Mufasa dies. Everywhere I go weather it be work, home, shopping or anywhere, I am called by friends, and strangers "Simba" or "The Lion King Guy" or "The Lion King KING" or "Mr. Lion King". Family and friends say it is incredible how alike Simba and I are. I would say it is an AMAZING biography of my own life, give or take a few things. I have invested and spent HUNDREADS and HUNDREADS of THOUSANDS and THOUSANDS and THOUSAND of dollars on my HUGE< GIANT GARGANTUAN collection that I am fircley protective of and NOBODY touches but me!! I can't even tell you how many times people come to me and say "You even look like Simba!!!" I have had people ask me if I worked on the movie, and that I sound like Matthew Brodrick somewhat. Sorry for doing this again but I knew I forgot some of the questions from the "deleted" letter:-where did some of the sounds from the Simba and Nala Win95 theme come from (Simba`s "Ahh, hyenas", Nala`s "You`re much better at this than Simba (Simba:) Hey!", and so on)Maintainer's note: I have no idea-- only the person who created the theme would know that. I think it was Myra Weber (simba@myself.com).-is it just my imagination or was the song To die for... on the soundtrack a little shorter than the one in the movie (a part of it repeats itself- just a matter of seconds but you can still hear it). I know it`s a small thing, I just want to know if I am right or my memory is playing tricks on me =)No, you're right... the score in the movie at times had to loop the music a little to fit it properly with the scene cues. :)-could you please put a full quality Hyenas (song) on the site. I have The Lion King soundtrack and it isn`t on it,so you wouldn`t be harming anybody, you would just be helping the ones with the "not full" CDs to get it (I did pay for it)Um, I do have a full-quality copy of the Hyenas track on the site. It's at 44kHz, 144KB/sec stereo.-do you have a quick time movie of any song (from the movie) which is complete (the full song is in it). It would be very large (10-15MB) but it would be worth it.Well, I do in fact have a QuickTime of the full "Circle of Life" song... it's 50MB. A few days ago, I saw an animated series on television called "Project Geeker" and there was a scene in a pet store, and in the background there were two different posters that said "Simba" on them. In the Boise Town Square mall, in Boise, Idaho, there is a small shop set up called [the] "Hakuna Matata Village". (I swear!!) I think that they were able to get by Disney copyright restrictions because I do not think that "hakuna matata" is copyrighted. Anyway, this is a shop that basically sells wooden carvings of animals in various sizes. They have been open for a while, and I would like to send in pictures of this business to the maintainer of this website, so that all may see it. This is proof that The Lion King still has a large impact on people, and it lives on...in one form or another! :) Maintainer's note: Well, "Hakuna matata" is a common Swahili phrase... it existed long before TLK did. It's been used in movies in the past, too, as I recall. But thanks for the info... :) -BT

Certainly, characters such as the relatives, friends, and ancestors of the characters portrayed in The Lion King are important to it's story, but if they were not portrayed in tlk, then 'official' entries of those characters are not possible. Sarafina is not only important to the story of The Lion King, but she was portrayed in it. Granted, the mole, the mouse, (with Scar when he is first shown [Act I, laserdisc Chapter 2]) all of the characters in the Circle of Life, I Just Can't Wait to Be King, Be Prepared, Hakuna Matata sequences, etc. are important to tlk, enough information is not available about them to make a signifigant entry anyway. Besides, Disney thought that Sarafina was a significant enough character to include on it's tlk 'group' poster which is also the image in the icon for "The Characters" section. Also, when you move your mouse pointer to "The Characters" icon on this web site, it says: "Character descriptions and images for the whole TLK cast". The last time I watched tlk, I could'nt even watch half of it, because this issue is bothering me so much.Maintainer's note: sigh ... Okay, then I'll change the pointer text to "Almost all of the TLK cast". I thought I'd made it sufficiently clear that I can't make a character page without a Skybox "character card", because that card is what I scan for the picture at the top of each character page. Sarafina doesn't have one. Besides, we know nothing at all about her character. No personality, no background, nothing. Just one line: "What do you think, Sarabi?" And the fact that she's Nala's mother. That doesn't constitute a "character" in my reckoning. If it's that horrendous an issue, mail me privately. The guest book isn't the place for this. -BTI can't even look at that poster of mine (that I wrote about on July 24 in the Guest Book) anymore. What does Skybox know about The Lion King anyway! We are the true fans.

Now [Shenzi]:"Wait, wait, wait,...I beg to differ! No disrespect intended, but Sarafina *was* a significant character whether or not she was portrayed to be in The Lion King. The impact to the story that would have occurred without her presence are enourmous, and therefore she deserves to be a part of "The Characters" section of this web page. The 'gopher' and like characters may have had lines...but the presence of those particular characters were not very critical to the story- the quantity and types of them could have been easily changed, for example.Maintainer's Note: Well, you could just as easily argue that Mufasa's father deserves a spot there too, as would Timon's colony-mates and the other lionesses and the other hyenas. They were significant characters whether or not they were portrayed in the movie... :) Also, let me say again-- the characters listed are the ones there are SkyBox "character cards" for. Sarafina doesn't have one. :) -BTI love this site...but you can count on me to pay attention to detail!...but of course, you already know that (light poking) you maintainer you. :)
